The Ukrainian market is very promising, especially now that the European Union is opening its doors to workers from across the eastern border. Outdoor advertisements specifically aimed at Ukrainians are increasingly appearing throughout Europe. If you want to set up a website aimed at this eastern market, the first thing you need to do is to secure a Ukrainian web domain.
Therefore, we have supplemented our range of Ukrainian domain extensions.
You can now register the following Ukrainian domains:
- .ua top-level domain
- functional domains such as .com.ua, .net.ua, .org.ua
- city domains like .kiev.ua (and .kyiv.ua), .lviv.ua, .odessa.ua, .kherson.ua
- regional domains such as .zaporizhzhe.ua, .khmelnitskiy.ua, .volyn.ua, .crimea.ua
- as well as short second-level domains of various uses, such as .od.ua, .in.ua, .cv.ua etc.
There are a total of 61 Ukrainian domain endings.
Ukrainian domains can also be registered in the Cyrillic alphabet, but it must be remembered that allowed IDN domains in the com.ua zone must contain at least one unique Cyrillic character (visually distinguishable from Latin characters). The list of such characters is: д, ж, и, й, л, п, ф, ц, ч, ш, щ, ъ, э, ю, я, ё, є, ї.
To register names directly in the .ua suffix, it is required to have a trademark corresponding to the name of the domain to be registered – Ukrainian (UKRPATENT) or WIPO with Ukraine coverage.
Other extensions are available to all applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
